SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Salient Networks is a Southern California based systems integrator that has a reputation for Simplifying Complex Technologies. Immediate openings are available to individuals with proven ability in selling and maintaining business relationships in the telecommunications and information technology field. Generally, role requires 70% sales and customer relationship skill and 30% technical skills. Overall responsibilities include meeting quota and revenue targets, prospecting and developing target accounts and developing strategic relationships with our vendor partners.
Job Position
Sell Professional Services, Managed Services and Product Solutions in the Commercial, Public Sector and Healthcare sector in the Southern California marketplace.
- Vertical market knowledge and technical knowledge are necessary. A background in selling medical technologies highly desirable.
- Solution Selling - consults with clients to determine their needs and works with application sales specialists to generate multi-product/service solutions. Preferably Cisco or Avaya
- Takes initiative to learn new offers and products, as they become available. Able to apply new product knowledge in business development efforts.
- Develop relationships with strategic partners to leverage their resources
- Find short term and long-term sales opportunities via onsite discussions, marketing programs and telemarketing.
- Complete and submit on a timely basis all required reports such as forecasts, activity, compensation and expense reports
- Work closely with Sales Managers, Vendors, and Internal Resources to ensure open communications and delivery of the contracted solutions to our customers
- Possess and be able to expand extensive knowledge about vendor partnerships and Salient Networks solutions and be able to communicate these to the customers.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 3-5 years of proven sales experience – excellent sales skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present in a group setting
- Project a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
- Good knowledge of our technology and the industry channel dynamics
- Possess a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Prefer a strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Internet
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree and/or CSE certificate preferred
